NEBLITZI: REPRODUCTION Neblitzi are genderless. Once each year, just after the winter thaw, they asexually produce a single egg, spiny and uncomfortable-looking. The pregnant Neblitz lays the egg in a nearby river, which carries the egg to downstream pools, which act as great hatching grounds. The newborn Neblitz looks like a miniature version of its parent, with the exception of its antenna which is fully-grown at birth. It grows and develops independently and without any nurturing.
